On September 26, 2019, the opening ceremony of the new building of the GIA’s Tuv aimag province division was held. For inauguration Deputy Director of the GIA, Colonel Enkhsukh B., Head of the Administrative Department, Colonel Erdene E., Head of the Citizens' Representative Khural of Tuv Aimag, Enkhbat Ts. and other representatives of the Government of Mongolia were present.
The Internal Security Department has established provincial offices in 1925 and the division in Tuv aimag was first established as the Bogd Khan Mountain unit. The unit was located in Lun soum of Tuv aimag from 1925 to1931. By the order number 154 of 15 March 1942 of Ministry of Internal affairs it has become a division and had its local offices moved to Tov aimag center, Zuunmod.
The General Intelligence Agency is implementing policies aimed at strengthening the local branches, improving the working environment and conditions of their employees. Under this policy, the new office building has been constructed and commissioned.
